Jason Aldean’s 11-year marriage to Jessica Ussery is over.  The couple, who have been married for 11 years, filed for divorce last Friday.  They cited the always-popular "irreconcilable differences." 

Yesterday, Jason released a very wordy statement asking for privacy . . . because that's what people in the spotlight do when they'd like a pass from being in the spotlight. 

Here's the statement:  "Jessica and I have been together since we were teenagers.  We've been through a lot of ups and downs over the years as we grew up together as a couple. 

"She will always be important to me because she is the mother of my children, and I know that we will both always make our daughters our number one priority.  I've learned that everyone always rushes to judgment when they hear news like this.

 "That's really hard because no one knows anything about our relationship but us. 

"I understand that because of my job, I have to go through a lot of this in the public eye, but for my girls' sake I really wish people would give us some level of privacy and at the very least be respectful of them." 

Jason and Jessica have two daughters, 10-year-old Keeley and 5-year-old Kendyl.

They are Nigerian, so they have terrible writing skills. I mean, bad. Yes, not everyone can write like they're an English professor, but these guys are awful, and it's not because they're writing quickly, it's because they don't know the English language.

Oh... and he can't even get his name straight. On his profile, his name was Barry, but when he emailed me, his name was John, so now he says his name is Barry John.

US Weekly is reporting that Jason Aldean and his wife have separated. The split actually happened back in January, in the wake of Jason publicly kissing and cozying up to a former American Idol contestant at a bar in California in October.
